Living...

A lot of things happened in two days... First of all. I just want to warn you that all you will be reading is about our crazy stories in Baltimore. I thought about writing a journal about our lives so our kids could read some day... And then I realized I've been writing on this blog since Zach & I been married.. So this can be my journal & I can print it out one day.
That's a warning! If you don't want to read about me complaining or crazy & not interesting things we do. You better stop reading now!

Alright... Lets get started..
Yesterday uncle Ken took us to the Union Station in DC to take a train to Baltimore because Zach had to go into Hopkins & do some things...
First of all, we had NO idea where to go. We were so happy to find out that the tickets to Baltimore were only 7 dollars & that the Penn Station in Baltimore is only 4 blocks from our apartment.
So we get to Baltimore & we have no idea how to get to Hopkins.. So we just followed people. We ended up taking a little school bus that happened to be the Hopkins shuttle.
We got to a street & it was time to get out.. All I remember thinking was "I don't want to get out here". The first thing I noticed was that Zach & two other boys were the only white ppl on the bus. When we got out all I could hear was the F word.
When Zach got done with at the school we started walking again, not knowing where to go. The first thing we saw was this "Adult Movie Theater" we kept going not thinking anything of it... Soon we were surrounded by what Zach calls "My people"(Mexicans).  I should have felt right at home... But I have never been more scared in my life... Later that day a girl told us that place is called Mexican town. LOL...
We pretty much walked all day. We were in the ghetto part of Baltimore. We were a little nervous to see our apartment. BUT luckily our apartment is in one of the nicer areas in Baltimore.  I love it!!!

I thought it would be way scary to walk in down town Baltimore at night. But today we went to the store around 7 & it wasn't scary at all. You can see all the young college students jogging, going to the grocery store, or people walking their dogs. I would say its safer to walk between 6 and 8 pm than earlier. Because you don't see any scary people coming into town to work or taking the bus.

Our place is in the perfect location. Close to the harbor, shopping & grocery store...

I took tons of pics, but I'm tired right now & I don't want to edit them.
Good night!!
