while I was sleeping

I took my first tennis lesson on Saturday and I was so sore the next day that I came home from church and took a power nap, I was so hungry but I didn't care I was tired, 3 hours later the smell of food woke me up and when I got to the kitchen I found Zach making dinner, he made rolls and he tried to make fried chicken but he didn't follow the recipe, he was supposed to put some flour, eggs and butter each in separate bowls but he decided that the recipe was wring so he mixed all together so we had chicken pancakes, they were actually pretty good. It was so nice of him to make me dinner and he cleaned the kitchen, lucky me! I'm going to make Zach describe his cooking experience because I think its funny...

Okay so Sunday when Zaira was sleeping I thought I would surprise her by making her dinner. I was just going to make something simple like grilled chicken, potatoes, and rolls. Well right when I was about to throw my cut up pieces of chicken into a frying pan of extra virgin olive oil I thought I'd do something a little more complicated. So I decided to make fried chicken. I looked up the recipe. It said that I was supposed to put the chicken in flour and then into a bowl of milk and eggs beaten together and then into a frying pan of butter. I thought the recipe had to be wrong. I figured that the chicken had to first go in the milk and eggs. That way the flour would have something to stick to. So after doing it this way for a while I noticed that the flour wasn't sticking to the chicken once it was in the frying pan. So I decided it would be much more efficient if I put the everything together in a big bowl. So that is exactly what I did. After mixing up the milk/egg batter, a lot of flour, and chicken really good I then proceeded to put it all in the frying pan. It just barely fit inside the pan. After a couple of minutes I noticed that it wasn't frying the way fried chicken does. So I put half a stick of butter in the pan and turned up the heat. It still wasn't cooking! Instead I was just cooking a giant pancake with chicken chunks. So then I started trying to get out the extra batter so my chicken would become fried chicken. After some of the batter out I put some lemon juice in thinking that would make it fry. But it didn't and I ended up putting everything in the oven hoping it would turn out to be chicken and biscuits!
